Final Thoughts: Getting a website up and running is very very easy. Drag/drop components is very nice but it’s essentially just replacing ghost and not really providing THAT much more features for a paid solution. Might be worth looking at for a future projects, unrelated to GBF.

 

Ghost:

  • Current website utilizing Ghost. Great CMS, lots of Integration, easy setup via docker.

  • Missing: Schedule/Profiles for Speakers etc.

 

Sessionize

  • Great compliment to Ghost. API supports JS and HTML generated content as well as JSON, XML and such.

  • Provides a way to create forms for speaker submission, a way to accept speakers after taking them through various level of consideration.

  • Schedule creation

  • Community/Free edition tier which is what we’re using currently.

  • Speaker Bios

  • Mass Mailings to speakers based on track, across the board etc.

  • Mobile App (Awesome)
